At the end of "Prove It All Night", traditionally, Bruce nods at Little Steven and they rip it up, alternating on a single mic: Say "yeah". / yeah Yeah / yeah YEAH / YEAH Last night Nils did the honors instead. ======= Two years ago, Pat really liked "death to my hometown" because it sounds Irish. I didn't think she would remember it but last night she nodded furiously when it came on. There was no penny whistle in sight but Soozie's violin substituted just fine. I think there was some processing involved, eh? Johnny99 was reincarnated as a Dixieland rave up that morphed into Peter Gunn, then (naturally) back again. Soozie took a solo on Darlington County, then he called on her for a second solo. When she stopped, he was hugging some girl and missed the cue. Since he didn't call a solo, there was a moment when noone was playing lead. I started laughing and Soozie leaned in. Took a third solo! I picked up some lines in Dancin in the Dark that I never "got" before. My favorite part had to be the amazing, ultra guitar solo by Morello on "Ghost Of Tom Joad". It was a great night. Warning to Bob Muller and Victor Johnson: they started at 8:00 sharp, not 8:30 as they did at Cleveland in 2012.
