(sjc) I found the video of this woman hearing for the first time through cochlear implants very moving...and a reminder of how lucky most of us are just to be able to do "normal" stuff. I had to post this to the list when I saw the "Introduction to Music" playlist that was composed for her by a friend- he has excellent taste! http://www.thejournal.co.uk/news/north-east-news/inspirational-gateshead-woma n-joanne-milne-6879841 Jonathan ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Mar 2014 14:01:43 +0000 From: Anita G Subject: Re: Lady Gaga At Christmas, I watched the Muppet Special with Lady Gaga. I thought it was really terrific, with a sense of style and irony that I really enjoyed. Of course, Gaga writes simply brilliant dance tracks (well, I think so) and Joni does like to groove. Maybe, at this time of her life, having the dance hit she never had would do our Joan good. Emilie Sande may be a more natural fit, but perhaps Joni might want to party! Whatever - they both could do with eating more, but the photos I have seen of Joni more recently, she has looked much better. Not quite so gaunt.
