Howard asked about her because so many of his past guests have been in love with her and he called her a brilliant songwriter. James had played Woodstock on a past visit to the show, and he reprised a snippet. I know a lot of people don't like Stern, but he is a great interviewer and has a big appreciation for music. I don't think it has anything to do with the Last Waltz though. Bob NP: Steely Dan,"reeling in the years" Sent from my iPhone > On May 17, 2015, at 11:12 AM, "Susan E.
