I personally have often wondered who she really is, what motivates her, how her great gift manifested etc for well over forty years. Joni's relationship (or rather lack of relationship) to feminism is currently part of the discussion here on JMDL right now. And there is considerable variety of views. You feel that Joni has the ability to see through the 'bullshit of the western culture." Maybe others will see things quite differently from you. The variety of views, opinions and topics is the reason that JMDL is not Joni sycophantic but an interesting, vibrant discussion list. However, that fact does bring personal challenges to everyone here, from time to time. I unsubscribed a while back over something that irritated me, but realised I was being overly precious. I often want the Whole World to agree with my every sentiment:-))) I know you will understand the power of Ego. Unlike you, I don't experience people here picking Joni's personality apart, but there is always a lot of talk here about who in the world she might be. Overall, there is more deep understanding, appreciation and Love for Joni and her work amongst the people who read these posts than anywhere else I have found. There will be many here continuing to pray for her.
