Joni should reveal what she wants when she wants." I agree: it's Joni's call. It may be that she simply doesn't want to deal with the press or an avalanche of attention, or to have friends and relatives doing either at this time, no matter what her prognosis is. But, although I hate to think it, another possibility is that Joni has been or still is seriously ill, perhaps with a new diagnosis, and simply needs time to incorporate that herself before sharing it with the world. Just think: what if any one of us got bad news at the hospital or doctor's office, and two of the top things we had to consider were 1) how much to tell the media, and 2) what public reaction would be?! I can't even conceive of it. So, while I would like to know more for my own peace of mind, I hope Joni releases as much or as little information as she wants at a time of her own choosing, for her optimal comfort. That said, Daisy's post gives me some much-needed hope.
