I'm very familiar with the book of Revelation, having been a Sunday School teacher for the better part of a decade and leading discussions and studies of the book several times. Not to say that I'm an expert on it, just to say that I'm more than a little familiar with it. Certainly much of Joni's work is informed by religion, no doubt. Simply saying that Joni uses the word "golden" and the phrase "I saw" in Woodstock and that the words are also omnipresent in Revelation is a bit of a stretch for me. I will say that it's a tribute to the depth of Joni's skills as a lyricist that people can see so much in them.
