As I recall, when they were recording, they had this (probably stoned) idea to play the album through a speaker inside a piano and mike the tinkly harmonics off the piano strings. Interesting idea, and maybe why it came out muddy sounding. Big O magazine has high quality mp3's* of Joni's Aug 22, 1974 Temple University PA show with the LA Express, sort of an alt. MOA. This probably won't stay up for long, so get 'em while they're hot. It's from a 2 CD boot, includes artwork.
