When Speechless came on, i felt very blessed to have heard this (pre-strings) via a tape tree, several years before it was officially released. I want to thank simon publicly (and again), for enriching my appreciation of Joni's talents, her team's talents, and for the connectedness of the JMDL. For example, he helped educate and entertain Karen O'Brien when she was researching her biography. Many know that he made lots of contributions to the site, but he also built a timeline for Susan Lacey (winner of 14 Emmys) when she was researching the American Masters film on Joni. Simon, ive never met you in person, but you rock. You might want to listen to NPR this week, in the mornings they are talking and interviewing famous drummers. I am thinking it is a five day series, perhaps ending tomorrow ( Friday). You can probably find it if you do a search on NPR I found it to be very good, I was listening in the early morning on east river road on the way to work. Thought I'd give you that context. .
