Hana has a God and Jesus mention. In France They Kiss on Main Street they were tring to raise Jesus up from the dead and were broken in churches. They light the candles in church and the wax rolls down like tears in Hejira. In Windfall and Song For Sharon you've got folks heading to church. Paprika Plains - after church they traded their beads for bottles. Strong and Wrong - What is god's will? Onward Christian soldiers, or thou shalt not kill. (Love that line and this song). Refuge of the Roads is all about her meeting with a Buddhist and describes the clouds as muscular gods. Eastern Rain makes mention of God's drum. Otis & Marlena has Muslims sticking up Washington. The Priest because, well...yeah. Catholic Saints in Shades of Scarlett. And you know there may be more.... Trying to think of any songs with references to God, Jesus, Mary, Heaven the Bible, etc. I think it makes a pretty awesome set myself. It includes an essay on Joni's theological musings.
