I think she spends so much time editing, revising, and diving, diving, diving that she sees all of these double entendres, relishes them, and leaves them in ON PURPOSE. How else could you explain that there are so many of these things? She lives in duality, so it is only logical and appropriate that her lyrics are arranged minefields of double meanings and words that sound alike but carry different meanings. (Phononyms?)
