Contrary to where Bob is leaning, this actually is forcing me to reconsider and purchase this set. Given the detail to which Joni's studio choices are revealed in these notes, it's likely that the sequencing and even the chosen amount of time allowed in the rests between tracks might create a different set of sonic events and emotional responses than I'd had during previous exposures to these versions. I'm open minded about that possibility, anyway. I love all the onomatopoeia she included in these notes. And I'm so happy for the opportunity to have used that word in a sentence in my lifetime. I don't however agree with the definition she insists on applying to various forms of "squelch." Or, perhaps I'm just disappointed in it. That's my problem I guess.
