I worked in publicity/marketing in an earlier life and it is plain to see that this was originally a press release "blasted out" to several outlets - most likely by a PR clearinghouse service. Nearly every one of these articles is worded the same. I wonder who/what entity is sending these out now and what is the motive? I also interpreted Joni's statement as a comment on the project and not at all meant to diss Taylor Swift. Unfortunately, some people are taking it as an affront to Swift and making comments how Joni is being so "bitter" and "difficult" and clueless as to how much Swift could help her introduce her back catalog to an audience of young listeners, etc., etc. Poor Joni - "if only she would play the Hollywood game like a good girl" instead of being so honest in her opinion about a proposed project about her own life.
