Every source I looked at (all reputable) state that on average women's taste buds begin to diminish between the ages of 40-50 and men's from 50-60. Note that the key word is diminish and not vanish. I'm in the prime period for diminishment but haven't noticed any. Then again, I've always had good taste - just look at my friends!
