And any votes for the worst coffee ever? My Favorite coffee is called "Kick" and it's brewed at one of Jody's local beaneries but I can't go out and buy it so Brad and I use it on special occasions only and the rest of the time we brew fresh-ground Sumatra beans. Sumatra, Guatemalan and Brazilian are all very low in acid so I don't get heartburn later in the day. I take mine with a touch of cream to smooth me out in the mornings. Typing that made me laugh thinking about Ruby Lake and the "coffee whitener" in our hotel room... at least they didn't lie and call it "creamer." I am a self-proclaimed Caffiend and Seattle is the perfect place for me. Can't get Climb Every Mountain out of my head. Just now posting some pics on FB. Today we drive to Basel. Far from being a gay person's dream, it is chicory based and has to be worst instant "coffee" I personally have consumed. As a person of incredibly refined taste and elegance, I am a cafetiC(re girl, moving smoothly between a mocha choca lota, skinny winny tinny or lava java cava with consummate ease. > > JMDL, What coffee are you? My son Justin came home from college over the weekend while I was out and went straight to his electric guitar. When I got back I grabbed a guitar and played with him. Since I've been playing on Out in the Country, I taught him the song. I had texted him Paul Williams' version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTpzTbk8cgI) a while back (so gratefully from this list) so he could hear Joni and the song period. Later we were riding in the car, and I put on Three Dog Night covering the song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49bl6FrgZTs) playing the guitar riff like I taught him. When we got home, he said he likes the Paul Williams version better. Immediately, Laura Nyro and Joni came to my mind for so many of Laura's songs and for Joni's Both Sides Now and Woodstock, the richness of the originals. The class of musicians who appreciate the original artists versions ( sometimes enough to cover them) came to mind, and I thought wow, he's there. Seriously, her question, "what makes a man a man in these tough times" does offer a lot to think about.
