I had completely forgotten about this song but am listening to Paul Williams' version on Youtube now, and realize just how much I loved that song at the time, and I still do. You can really hear Joni on it! Paul Williams wrote or co-wrote so many great songs, mostly made famous by other artists, and I remember seeing him on various TV shows back in those days: The Rainbow Connection Rainy Days and Mondays We've only just begun You and me against the world And you know there may be more. ________________________________ From: "kbhla@fastmail.fm" To: joni@smoe.org Sent: Friday, September 26, 2014 11:55 PM Subject: Re: Out in the Country with Joni singing backup vocals OMG - that is too freaky, Jeff! One degree of separation that brings it back to Joni. Wow - I now remember this version by Paul Williams but never knew that gang all sang back-up. I like this version better than 3 Dog Night, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTpzTbk8cgI Kakki > Wow!
