It has affected me unlike anything I've heard in a long while. I listened to it yesterday while I was thinking about my Mom's birthday and was getting double emotional. There's not a nanosecond on it I don't love. As much as I love NEW music, and this is a reimagining of older songs, it surpasses everything else I've heard this year. Bob NP: Robin & The Mutts, "Amelia" (finally getting the time to gives this the attention it deserves and it's a stunner of course) ________________________________ From: "kbhla@fastmail.fm" To: joni@smoe.org Sent: Friday, September 26, 2014 7:56 PM Subject: Map to the Treasure: Reimagining Laura Nyro (njc) Wow, just finished listening to Map to the Treasure and it is honestly one of the most gorgeous compilations of music I have ever heard. It is literally breathtaking - I actually felt like I was going to pass out in some parts from the overwhelming beauty of it. Truly magnificent in every way. This one deserves two armloads of Grammys. Thanks to those of you who gave early alerts and raves. Can't wait to see the event and hear some of the performances at the Grammy Museum on Tuesday.
