As I read this article I felt my defences rising. I long ago stopped feeling protective of the artists I admire, and Joni is among those I admire most. However the tone of this article troubles me. Having described a period in which she had lost her daughter, had a poor marriage and some not so great relationships, Joni found herself crying. Joni stated, as only Joni could, that they walked on the moon and she sobbed. The author then states that she offers no further explanation for the condition. The insensitivity and slightly sensational tone of this whole article has put me right off. I'm looking forward to reading this book more than I've looked forward to any Joni related books for years. I'll have to avoid daily fail articles in future ;) Rant over.
