Yes, Joni has put herself out there, which reminds me of a comment somebody famous made after they heard her album Blue...like 'keep something for yourself Joni.' We put ourselves out here too on this list, but we only really have a glimpse of each other given the distance between us and the infrequency of our get togethers. Facebook does help with a better glimpse sometimes. And truly each of us is in a constant state of flux, change, so all we really have of each other and of Joni are "guesses based on what each set it time and change are touching." Even our bones are completely different bone every 15 years or so. We are "particles of change" and that any of us is, is a miracle. I'm grateful to be dancing in the same instance of time as Joni. I wouldn't notice it without the fact that, "I feel like I'm losing mine. Somewhere out here on this horizon line with the earth spinning and the sky forever rushing." What else can I be but in awe of the beautiful, and Joni is a beautiful person. The "Depth" clipping on YouTube I posted last reminded me of the first glimpse I caught of Joni as she arrived at the Ruby Lake Resort... she looked thin, tall, and full of energy as she bounced in beside the Cosgrossi's. It is wonderful to "live and let live." And it is fun to imagine being friends with Joni. If I was, I'd ask her to show me how to paint.
