The first time I saw Joni (in the days when she played two sets without support) I loved the stories she shared as he tuned and retuned and tuned.....the atmosphere she created was so intimate. When I saw her she was doing bigger gigs than the coffee houses, but nonetheless I recall the between song chat as utterly engaging.
