I believe the first generation of Airs had flimsy casings that flexed because they were so thin but that has been fixed. Ive used Macs for 25 years with almost no problems. If you take yours places and it is at risk for being dropped or liquids spilled Id extend the warranty but if it mostly lives at home and you treat it carefully I wouldnt. I bought the five year warranty on our two MacBook pros and it was never needed. Ipads and iPhones may be another thing entirely as they get carried around and dropped so easily. Should I spend the $250.00 for an extended warranty for 2 more years which also means tech support for the two years as well or save my money so if the hard drive does crash I have funds to help fix it? I always figure that If I get the warranty somewhere is cyberspace they know and nothing goes wrong but no warranty then suddenly everything goes haywire. > > Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated. > > Catgirl ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2014 #35 **************************** ------- To post messages to the list,sendtojoni@smoe.org.
