Well, Joni's definitely keeping his memory alive.....each time she sings 
the song.
I wonder if that has anything to do with it or the fact that the song 
has such an
interesting story to tell the audience.  Maybe when she looks back on it 
now ......
even she's impressed by the whole scenario and how it played out.

Altho, "easy for her to sing" or speak like Jim L. stated may be more of 
the real reason.  :-)
