I need to defend Jian, who I think is excellent.  It's his job is to keep things moving and focused.  If he just let Joni tell stories for 100 minutes, it would have been interesting, of course, but I doubt a lot of what came out would have occurred to her to discuss.

I think he made Joni feel at ease, she clearly sensed that he is not a "moron", and pushed her into some depth, taking  her beyond her immediate answer.

I'm completely satisfied, and it looked to me like Joni actually enjoyed the experience.
