I was too young to go, but tall enough to enter into the 'R' rated film about 2 dozen times so it was memorized and a part of my psyche. So when I was hallucinating in the hospital after a cancer surgery, I imagined that I was dancing in Woodstock with Janis Joplin and Grace Slick...ya gotta love that morphine! And ya gotta LOVE that wonderful Joni!!! Calamity Babs In a message dated 6/4/2013 4:55:20 P.M. In the first second of reading the question in the JMDL Digest about what Joni song would be good to make into a movie, Woodstock is the song that flashed into my head as I got goosebumps simultaneously! Maybe it was partly due to the fact I have recently watched the "rockumentary" about Joni Mitchell. The expression on her face as she explained about how she had, unfortunately, missed the actual Woodstock experience came back to me seconds after reading your "song to movie" question post. I believe there were many people who wanted to be at Woodstock also, but due to age limits, distance to travel, financial limitations, timing ... and all the other kind of life details that make obstacles, they were unable to actually be there. Everytime I listen to Joni Mitchell's song, Woodstock, I feel as if I experience the very best part of the momentous festival of that name, even though I was too young to go. So there is my suggestion. I can easily see her paintings being incorporated into the script. Beside the fact that the line from that song, "We've got to get ourselves back to the garden..." is one of my personal life passions, I have alot more to say about why I think the song, Woodstock, would be an excellent choice... but will send this quickly to get in my choice:) Lynn Walker Hoverson On Jun 4, 2013, at 5:12 PM, owner-joni-digest@smoe.org (JMDL Digest) wrote: > > JMDL Digest Tuesday, June 4 2013 Volume 2013 : Number 649 > > > > ========== > > TOPICS and authors in this Digest: > -------- > Re: onlyJMDL Digest V2013 #200 [donald.barthel@kodak.com] > Re: Movie?
