There is quite a range in prices: $175, $125, $95, $75, $55, $35 (usually Massey Hall events have three prices.) Although I went to a concert last year, I don't remember if there are additional fees on top but, if so, it probably isn't as high as what Ticketmaster charges. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, April 20, at noon (E.S.T.) I believe that if you have a Visa Infinite card (whatever that is), you can buy a ticket now. She saw it this morning at bottom of our driveway and we decided to not intervene as young birds' parents are often around and birds never do well when handled, and best leave Nature to take its course, etc. etc, so Syeph kept anti cat watch all day. Tonight she opted to bring the baby bird in. I tried to avoid it because I didn't want to be involved, but then I felt I should help. So we have made a small nest, given it plenty of water and some meal worms. Steph is out so I have been in 3 or 4 times as dusk fell and cleaned the 'nest' and it opened its beak up to be fed each time I went in. It led me to start thinking of the photos of Joni, our JMDL discussions about ageing, then the Boston Marathon, onto Birth, Death.....the effort to fight for Life whether you're a little bird or a human being.....it doesn't often seem to come easy. I keep thinking of those poor people running for charities yesterday in Boston and other people being there to encourage and cheer them on and such an awful thing happening. Next thing I feel outraged and I get global and I think about poverty and why are people starving and why do we blow each other up? It all seems so mad and I could send myself mad thinking about it. And then I look here in my garden and I really think the bird has little chance, slightly more than leaving it out where it was. It looked me in the eye tonight and I felt such love for it that I cried and I thought how hard it must be to be a parent and how Life deals people in all kinds of situations and circumstances such difficult cards to play - and that's just the way it is.
