I bet I offended just about everyone with that list, but oh well. I remember that I was thankful for Steely Dan and Springsteen because it was the beginning of the END of pop radio, for me. Back to ELO: On "Evil Woman", do the strings sound wobbly at 2:27 - 2:40? It sounds like the tape speed was wavering right there. It has bugged me for a while now- (30 years?). Maybe the keyboard counterpoint makes it sound like the pitch of the strings was fluttering. Maybe it's just my pre-remastering hits package.
