When I worked in retail, I would change the fluorescent bulbs in the ceiling light fixtures (those long tubular ones) and take them to the big dumpsters. I loved throwing them in like spears and hearing them crash. Likewise, in high school chemistry lab, occasionally there would be beakers or flasks that were cracked sitting in the big stone ceramic trash cans. When everyone was deep into their experiments and concentrating, I'd grab the pieces and SLAM them down in the can, making a big crashing noise and breaking the silence. When everyone looked my way I'd just say "oops". By the same token, I've been in a car accident where you hear breaking glass and that is not nearly as enjoyable. Not to mention the whole "seven years bad luck" thing. I take it that Estrella the circus girl wrote very dramatic, potentially angry songs with an edge.
