I've said it before and I'll repeat myself: whatever anyone's opinion of the book, I can personally attest to the fact that Sheila strove for accuracy in every detail, and backed up her sources (yes, even the very few anonymous ones) six ways to Sunday. She also paid great attention to any proven errors of fact, no matter how relatively slight (for instance, the mileage between Canadian cities and the US border-- *;-) *--which I personally re-verified and helped to fix for the paperback).
