Might be at least some kind of safeguard. I hadn't noticed that FB asks that. Most everything I upload is my own but I did upload a "watermarked" image off Google once. Have always wondered if it is alright to upload "watermarked" images and also wondered about Google images having so many seemingly personal photos of people available. I've sometimes searched Google images for photos of places I'd like to visit and end up with many results showing peoples' personal parties, weddings, etc. Eeek.
