Have not heard the box set. I only liked a couple songs on here unlike the McCartney album which I devoured. Which reminds me there were alot of his solo records that only had a couple tracks that I really liked. The McCartney II record had Waterfalls on it and I loved that tune. The Wings records were better for me. In later years I think he struggled as a solo songwriter or maybe consciously tried to not be McCartney that will all know and love. I will tell u this I love the new record very much. I spoke with Elvis Costello about that record when we did the gig with him in San Fransisco. I knew he has Paul were good buds and I took the opportunity to gloat about what a great job Diana did on the Kisses on the Bottom record. Paul was in town for SuperBowl and there was a funny story about him riding the streetcar and was telling some lady he was sitting next to who he was and she did not believe him. So he sang her a bunch of Beatle tunes. Gotta love public transportation!! I think there is a pic of them on the streetcar on Facebook.
