I just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying all the posts of the last month or so. Many discussions on guns & lyrics. Cohen & others. Magdeline Laundries ( made me almost cry ). Joni covers. I have read them all with my morning capaccino. I just finished reading "Joni: A Creative Odyssey" which I really, really enjoyed. I thought it was well written. It contained a lot of tidbits I've gathered over the years of Joni-watching and elaborated on them & expanded my understanding of her. I always took her at face value, but going back to revisit her work has deepened my appreciation of it. She really is quite a woman. I did not know that much about Nietsche & have always heard he was mostly "unreadable" so avoided him. Joni makes him sound interesting.
