Thanks Dave - I knew you would have much wisdom to add to the conversation. I'll toss in another nugget - When Joni participated in the "My Top 12" BBC show, she picked "Gaucho" as one of her songs, and did the same on her Starbucks release of songs that influenced her. And yeah, now I can definitely hear them doing justice to Edith as well as most of those HOSL songs - Don't Interrupt The Sorrow is even chock full of some of the cryptic lyrical imagery that they insert into their own songs.
