What if you're a man? Is the law different for men and women? The law may be unlikely to penalize you, but you'd better kill the intruder, and it had better be with one shot. I'm not sure that if you shot an intruder in the arm or leg and then shot them again to kill them that the law would not penalize you. And if you don't kill the intruder, the law may not penalize you but you can bet you'll be facing a lawsuit from the intruder. Win or lose, it will likely ruin you financially and probably emotionally and physically, as well.
