Joni's little house is still there and didn't burn down. It is a rustic wooden bungalow built in the early 1900s. Years ago Frank Zappa lived in the Canyon in a place called "The Log Cabin" - which burned down back in the 60s, and there was a fire at Jim Morrison's former house a couple years ago but it was restored. I found an article written by a woman who stayed at Joni's old house a couple years ago and it includes photos of the charming place. http://www.chelsea-girl.com/2011/06/jonis-house-is-a-very-very-very-fine-house/ Very cool about your visit to the Watts Towers and the Mingus background. I'll have to check it out! Kakki > Cheers Kakki! > > I did stop at the store and after purchasing the uncut magazine issue > featuring Joni I learned where her house was.
