Well I had just arrived in Paris and was in my room on the second floor above the entrance to the hotel that had a little stoop (sp?) there. I heard a guitar playing and a beautiful voice singing. I stuck me head out the window and saw this beautiful girl singing downstairs. I ran downstairs to listen and Julie and I became quick friends. She turned me on to Joni's songs. As I recall she played Marcie, and Michael From Mountains and a couple others. WE hung out for the whole time I was in Paris and we spent many an evening singing together in the Latin Quarter at night for money. She had lost her passport and airline ticket and was trying to make enough coin to get back to the US. I have thought of her often over the years wondering if she has ever got on the JMDL.
