But then Katy shouldn't be strutting across the stage with her butt up like a horny peacock (more like Madonna, slut-wise). She may have talents but nowhere near Ms. Mitchell. Sure there is snobbery in music just as there is for writers and painters, etc. I moved to what I felt was a great area of artists and yet after 15 yrs I still cannot get a show of my work here. Seems I have to know the 'right' people or do the acceptable type of artwork, whatever that is. Watching "Lust For Life" I always have to laugh when Paul Gaugan makes fun of Vincent's work by saying he uses too much paint on it and smears it around. I believe that Vincent Van Gogh had the same mental problems I did and that was the way I also preferred to get it out in my painting. Except I didn't eat the paint as I sharpened the brush in my teeth as he did. (But I did drink absinthe and black coffee to get the same effects as he did). Creative people are all on the same sinking boat and its best if we can just get along until we dock, ya know?
