I was first introduced to Joni's music in 1971 by her album Blue. I played that album over and over and over again. It was after Blue that I discovered her earlier albums and realized what a gem I had found in her music. I now own all of her music. There isn't a day that goes by without listening to Joni. She has enriched my life and her music makes me feel like she is writing about me. I've always been astounded by this. What an artist, songwriter and she was the forerunner for women in music! I will leave this survey open till Friday, Nov 1 at midnight. One of the questions asks for your greeting to Joni and although its open-ended, please don't write a novel or else we will need to edit. The theme of this birthday card is Tributes and Jonifests, so please make sure you add info about any tribute or fest you participated in or heard about. Thanks for helping us with this endeavor!
