I don't know for sure who that Bare Naked Lady is on the cover of DJRD.  Maybe
she had a vision on peyote or something or it was suggested in one of  the
books by carlos castaneda.

The kid's identity is in the JMDL archives somewhere. If I recall correctly,
he was learning ballroom dancing, so he was wearing formalwear and looking at
his feet.  He was working out the steps.

I think Joni said once that she wanted a Mickey Mouse balloon but couldn't get
permission to use his image from Disney.

I have no idea what that crazy mash up of images meant to her.  It always
makes me think of the mash up of vignettes in Dreamland. You know, Joni said,

I can't translate that literally but I think Kurt Vonnegut's Billy Pilgrim in
"Slaughterhouse Five" would say she's slightly unstuck in time.
