Hejira also includes several of the most beautiful songs ever written by anyone, such as Refuge of the Roads, Amelia, and the title track. All three were treated well by Travelogue. My own favorite is Song for Sharon, but but there isn't a single mediocre song or production misstep on the album. And it is the one album Joni herself thinks nobody else could have written. Betsy > I would say my top five from better to best is Hissing, TI, Court&spark, Blue and Hejira. And of course I do agree with this sentiment: If there's ever been an album that demanded to be heard as a complete work of art on its own terms, it is Hejira; not a day goes by that I'm not glad it exists.
