Even when I think what she says has some merit, there are times I wish she'd exercise a bit of tact. Calling Leonard Cohen a "boudoir poet" (maybe he is - who am I to say?) kind of sets my teeth on edge. Just putting that out there. I know many of us also admire her (sometimes) plain talking, but there's duality for ya! For some reason I often hear her "Winter Lady" song sung in Gordon Lightfoot's voice and, no, I'm not confusing it with his "Song for a winter's night." I'd like to do my finest impression of Gord singing it, but I'm afraid it wouldn't sound like him nearly as much as I hope it would.
