I tried about 15 guitars and to my great disappointment I'm sorry to say I didn't like any of them, sound wise. I also played one of Joe Walsh, and ended up getting another non-celebrity's which sounded better to my ears. I would concur with Dave that the gauges were light, and that's probably why the guitars were not at their full potential.
