Our Thanksgiving is thankfully devoid of the Columbus dogma, and the focus is pretty much on turkey eating, but here's a good critique of the whole Columbus thing (although I *won't* get into the discussion of bigotry in Saskatoon and Joni wanting to have her stuff housed with Aboriginal artifacts, because the whole idea is completely ridiculous, and she ends up sounding like those overbearing liberal white women stereotypes, and so on, that made me sit on my hands all summer so I wouldn't reply to the threads). Anyway, this is by Jeanette Armstrong, titled "History Lesson". Jeanette C.
