Heavy Joni content for such a short segment. Some things I had not known: CSN first sang together at Joni's house (I'll speculate Laurel Canyon...not sure she had the Malibu place yet). He just said (and I suspect it's in the book) that while CSNY was having great difficulty (a short clip of Stills confronting Crosby laying in a hammock with strong language), Joni broke up with him via telegram. It read: If you hold sand tightly in your fist, it will run through your fingers. Love, Joan I don't know if I'm reading too much into it or if the editing took his reaction out of context, but when he was on camera sharing it, he seemed to genuinely still hurt from it. I listened to it in its entirety this morning and it's just gorgeous. A wonderful companion to early morning coffee, newspaper and breakfast. Her vocals are great, there are beautiful arrangements - particularly on "Blue". She does a great duet with one of my favorites Al Jarreau on "Be Cool", very playful and fun. She does a very clever medley of "April in Paris" and "Free Man In Paris", mixing and intermingling the lyrics throughout. She adds a couple of songs from Joni's 2000 BSN project as well. The SCJoniguy gives this one 2 thumbs up.
