I wonder whether any of Joni's friends, or her music reps read this list and I really hope they do. I also realize that maybe the relatively few of us on this list clamouring for this stuff wouldn't necessarily make it happen because even if all the people who sub to this list, discounting duplicates, even if we all bought it, I guess that wouldn't be enough to make it economically viable. On the other hand, there's the Harry Nilsson box set that recently came out that is a bargain and fantastic and (I hope) selling very well and so many people (especially young ones) have no idea who he is. It contains all of his albums along with some previously unreleased material, some of which is amazing and some of which isn't particularly great on its own, but shows a singer-songwriter going through the creative process (and his weird sense of humour.) So, despite the relative few of US that there are, there are most definitely a lot of Joni fans out there (judging by the number of fan sites on Facebook alone), so I think it would be a hit. Not everyone listens to Miley Cyrus and I count myself as one of the lucky few who hasn't heard that Robin Thicke song and I plan to keep it that way. (I noticed the other day on yahoo "news" that there's a Miley Cyrus blocker app that would hide any reference to her on your internet browser. If they could expand that to include anyone the user doesn't want to hear about, I'd go for it!) - ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Bob.Muller@Fluor.com" > Early on, when the only method of hearing these were the Tape Trees, I > remember getting my first tapes (thanks again Mr. Gross) and hearing > "Brandy Eyes" for the first time.
