As a zombie, he lives in an airplane at a deserted zombie-occupied airport. He listens to LPs on a record player. A young human girl that he has "rescued" from the other zombies is flipping through his collection of LPs. I spotted Joni's "Mingus" album in the bunch. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2013 15:32:59 -0500 From: jlhommedieu@insight.rr.com Subject: Jt at the Inaugural of USA president, njc I'm home today watching the swearing-in of Pres. Obama for his second term. Those of us in the free counties of the world are lucky to live in places where the transfer of power is peaceful and dignified. I'm thinking about the messes that Wally K. described in his country, years ago. Anyway, James Taylor did one verse of "America, The Beautiful" just before the swearing-in. Later on, NBC had Taylor talking with Brian Williams. Jt said that his parents were among the demonstrators in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1959, trying to get equal rights for African-Americans. He mentioned that Springsteen also campaigned for Obama. Williams thanked him and said, "What a thrill to have him stop in and give his political commentary." I was just pleasantly surprised to see a Joni album at all, much less "Mingus". Usually, if you do see a Joni album in a movie, it's "Blue." >________________________________ > From: Brian Gross >To: Catherine McKay ; Joni List >Sent: Monday, January 21, 2013 2:22:45 PM >Subject: Re: A tiny Joni reference in "Warm Bodies" > >Isn't that Zombie Gospel? >After all, we know "G-d Must Be A Boogie Man", >right?? > > >Brian ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2013 12:59:24 -0500 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Re: Mingus Mark Murphy has covered GPPH twice; once in 1998 and once in 2004. He also covered BSN way back in 1970 and then in 2004 did one of the few covers (as well as the first) of Barangrill. He also covered "Twisted" but he did that one back in 1961, long before Joni did hers.
