I apologise - BRATWURST is the correct spelling of my favourite German sausage. The name comes (according to wikipedia) from the word brat for finely chopped meat and the word wurst for sausage. I have eaten them many times at german festivals here in the UK and in germany too . The errant Z (I was writing from my blackberry) must have been confusing -with a Z the word might not exist indeed but Bratwurst do! . Not being a german speaker I should be forgiven.
