Didn't everyone know she was a lesbian? Or, was it the sort-of-hint that she might be retiring? Whatever the case might be, I found the whole speech very intriguing. I knew she was supposed to be a very intelligent young lady (I still think of her that way, even though she's 50 now, and has 47 years in the business, hence a "lifetime" achievement award, but she still looks like the girl next door). Her wit and intelligence really shone through and I have more respect for her than ever. We recently watched a French film, "A very long engagement" (loved that film) and, when she first showed up in it, I thought it was just some French woman who looked a LOT like Jodie Foster. I didn't realize she spoke French, much less extremely good French. >________________________________ > From: LC Stanley >To: Joni List >Sent: Monday, January 14, 2013 9:26:57 AM >Subject: Jodie Foster, njc > >I am intrigued with her "coming out" speech that has raised some controversy. > > >http://www.cinemablend.com/pop/Watch-Jodie-Foster-Coming-Out-Speech-Uncensored-51384.html ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2013 #80 **************************** ------- To post messages to the list, sendtojoni@smoe.org.
