Paz moves on from the PHJB Happy New Year Gang! After 7 years of service to the PHJB I am moving on. Such extensive travel and hard work and the need for more financial compensation has forced me to re-evaluate my life and therefore will not be traveling with the band anymore (but never say never of course). I have learned so much during my time with them and feel so blessed and thankful to the Jaffe family for trusting me with and caring for some of the most amazing musicians and friends on the planet. What an honor to travel the world with these guys! This past year I even got to sing with the band for the King of Thailand. Imagine that. I will continue to work with them and support them from home for the time being, but am now busy planning my next attack. A few projects that have been looming for quite some time, I am threatening to complete in 2013. Tomorrow I start back on The Blood Type Diet, which I has success with before, to try and lose some weight and work on leading a healthier lifestyle. I will miss seeing you all on the road, but who knows what will come in 2013. I wish you all great health, love, peace and great success in 2013! Whether it's "Both Sides Now," "Chelsea Morning," "The Circle Game," "Big Yellow Taxi," or "A Case of You," the work of Mitchell, one of the world's most embraced, lauded, and prolific singer-songwriters, continues to inspire and delight generations of listeners. At 54 Below, look for a cast of Broadway and cabaret luminaries singing the praises of all things Mitchell, including: Lisa Asher (MAC, Bistro & Nightlife Award winner), Annie Golden (Broadway's Hair, Leader of the Pack, On the Town, The Full Monty, Xanadu), Heather MacRae (Broadway's Hair, Falsettos, A Catered Affair), Julie Reyburn (MAC, Bistro, Nightlife Award winner), Nicolas Rodriguez (Broadway's Tarzan, Helen Hayes Award winner), Gabrielle Stravelli (celebrated NYC jazz vocalist), and Michael Winther (Broadway's Damn Yankees, 1776, Mamma Mia!). Upon presenting her with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002, the Grammy's called Joni's music "a powerful influence on all artists who embrace diversity, imagination, and integrity."
