It just bothers me that he dumped Joni for his young Brazilian wife. I'm not saying women 'need' a man to be complete, but I worry about Joni growing old alone. Her parents are dead, her relationship with Kilauren is rocky (last I heard), and I don't know if Kilauren now allows Joni access to Marlin and Daisy. From what I've read, Joni also seems to be a fun loving person who loves to laugh. But I agree with the current curmudgeonly attitude. Do ya'll think Joni could be depressed? The withdrawal from people, health struggles, loss of interest in what was once pleasurable ( i.e. her music, although apparently not her art), loss of her parents, rocky relationship with Kauren. Makes me wonder and worry. > > Sent from my iPhone ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2012 10:50:48 -0400 From: Marianne Rizzo Subject: part of my life, njc I wanted to second this and say that ~you are all a part of my life too, and I treasure that/ . . . you Marianne From: Lori Fye Subject: Re: More from Shawn Colvin's book about Joni (NJC) > Anyway just to say Hi and somehow you all are a part of my life... Hi Gerry! We're all here, somewhere ... The list does get quiet sometimes, probably because a few of us have been here for so long that we think we have run out of things to say. (We haven't really run out of things to say, we just *think* we have.) Just know that we are here and that, yes, we are a part of your life and you are a part of our lives, too. :-) Lori ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2012 18:00:33 +0000 From: Susan Tierney McNamara Subject: RE: Shawn Colvin's Memoir/Klein Thanks, Sharon ... now I do recall hearing a bit about that. Police were called though no charges filed. It damaged the relationship and apparently hasn't been the same since. Idk, guess I'm just missing Joni's involvement in music scene and missing new music from her. Certainly respect her right to retire and hope she is well and happy.
