I had a pretty bad migraine and at the pit of it all I sang a song of hers and thought how lucky it was that Joni was still alive and with us. Then I thought 'my god. how will I feel when Joni passes'. I just began to bawl. Now as pitifully emotional and desperate as that sounds, when I hear her voice, melodies or spirit conveyed through the instruments of others it helps me a little. Her presence will always be around. She is most certainly love, acceptance, understanding, animal spirit, delicate human spirit and a gift to us all.
