Shari, I'm interested in shamanism, which is why I latched onto this point in the documentary, considering myself as an urban shaman. This is also why Job (The sire of sorrows) grabbed my attention too because it is the shamanic journey to enlightenment, through trials and torments, hence the same theme permeating Egyptian and Sumerian legends. Randy, I think it is mixed well because her voice comes across as a subtle commentary, not a sledge hammer to break a walnut. The musical accompaniment emphasises the emotion, rather than drowns her voice (Maybe you need a better hearing aid?). With regards to the Joni tracks I like at the moment, a good song is like an itch - you need to scratch it over and over again, until finally it satisfies and you don't feel anything anymore.
